Purpose and Goals of BEYA Stars & Stripes
- Inspire youth to explore careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)
- Increase the number of senior-level officers and members of the Senior Executive Service (SES)
- Raise public awareness about the military
- Support the transition of veterans to civilian life
- Foster camaraderie and community within the military

Our History
Each year, US Black Engineer & Information Technology magazine highlights progress within the U.S. Armed Forces, featuring the Veterans Issue that focuses on flag-rank officers — admirals, generals, and members of the federal Senior Executive Service. These leaders have demonstrated courage, wisdom, resourcefulness, and unwavering dedication to their country.
